Ahhh, beach and a beer! Some people look at this combination as heaven. For you, there is good news! While in Hawaii you can get a taste of some local beers while you’re relaxing. The two “biggies” are Maui Brewing Company in Lahaina on Maui and the Kona Brewery on the Big Island.

The Maui Brewing Company started brewing beer in 2005 and uses only local ingredients. It is Maui’s only microbrewery. They have chosen to package their beer in cans because it is more environmentally friendly. They also use solar power at the brewery and are all around environmentally friendly.

The Kona Brewery on the Big Island started serving their beers in 1995. They brew beer both on the Big Island and the Mainland and have bottled beers. They also have pubs on the Big Island and on Oahu.

So on your next visit to Hawaii, try the locally brewed beers! They will put you in the ALOHA spirit!!
